Terms of Use

Hey there! We’re glad you stopped by sierraathome.com, the official digital HQ of Sierra @ Home. By exploring our site and using our tools, services, and resources, you’re agreeing to the terms outlined in this User Agreement (plus our Privacy Policy — definitely worth a look).

This agreement was updated on June 2, 2025, and has been in effect since January 14, 2014.

We may update this agreement from time to time — no fireworks or fanfare, just updates. It’s your job to check in occasionally. Keep using the site and we’ll take it as your thumbs-up to any changes.

How to Use Sierra @ Home (Without Breaking It)

By using our website and accessing the features we offer (collectively called “Resources”), you agree to:

  • Use them only as intended and in line with the law.

  • Provide accurate info if we ask for registration or contact details.

  • Keep your login credentials secure — and don’t blame us if your cousin hijacks your account.

  • Avoid shady stuff like hacking, scraping, or bypassing security.

  • Refrain from copying, selling, or distributing our content without permission.

  • Accept responsibility if your misuse causes us damage (yes, even legal damage).

Posting Content: Be Cool

If you post anything through blogs, forums, reviews, or social tools, please keep it respectful and legal. That means:

  • No harassment, threats, hate speech, or explicit content.

  • Don’t impersonate anyone (including a Sierra @ Home team member).

  • Don’t post copyrighted stuff that doesn’t belong to you.

  • Absolutely no spam, scams, or sketchy sales pitches.

  • We reserve the right to delete anything that breaks these rules — and we don’t need to explain ourselves. If we remove it, you agree not to sue us or throw a digital tantrum.

  • Also, anything you share publicly becomes usable by us. We won’t sell your secrets, but we might use your post (with credit!) to showcase user content, unless it violates our Privacy Policy.

Keep Us Covered

If your use of our site causes trouble — legal or otherwise — you agree to defend and indemnify Sierra @ Home. and everyone connected to us. If we need to handle the situation ourselves, you’ll cooperate. Fair’s fair.

Privacy Policy = Your Data, Respected

We care about your privacy. For how we collect, protect, and use your data, please read our separate Privacy Policy. It’s part of this agreement — and yes, it’s written in human language.

Warranty Disclaimer (a.k.a. “As-Is” Zone)

We love what we do — but we can’t guarantee everything will always work perfectly. So:

  • We don’t promise our Resources will meet every need or expectation.

  • We don’t guarantee 24/7 uptime or error-free experiences.

  • If you download something, it’s at your own risk.

  • Advice from us isn’t a legal promise unless we put it in writing.

Limitation of Liability

If something goes wrong, our liability is limited to what you paid (if anything). We’re not responsible for indirect damages — think data loss, business disruption, emotional distress, or accidentally spilling coffee on your keyboard.

Intellectual Property

All content on sierraathome.com — text, graphics, code, logos — is owned by Sierra @ Home, and protected under copyright and trademark laws. Don’t use it unless you get explicit permission from us.

Account Suspension or Termination

If you break the rules, we can suspend or shut down your access — no warning required. Illegal, abusive, or suspicious behavior could also get reported to law enforcement. We may delete your data and cancel your account at any time.

Legal Stuff (Jurisdiction & Governing Law)

Sierra @ Home is operated from California, USA. By using our site, you agree that California laws govern this agreement. Any disputes must be resolved in the State of California or federal courts — and you waive objections about venue or inconvenience.

Final Note: No Hidden Guarantees

Unless we explicitly say otherwise, Sierra @ Home disclaims all warranties — implied or expressed — including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Basically: we do our best, but use the site at your own discretion.
